Project and Exhibiting space

Located in the centre of Lewes, just off the High St, Continuum has two distinct exhibiting spaces; including a front room available to hire for shows, projects, pop ups and workshops. With an affordable rental and no commission, our aim is to create opportunities for individuals and small groups to explore experimental or less commercial projects, that enrich the creative diversity of the town.

Gathering Up

End of year show featuring microworld dioramas by Jacob Crivello, textiles by Sonia Crivello, Resonance paintings by Marco Crivell0 and ceramics by Jane Henshaw.

If you missed A Shelter for Wonder during Artwave or would like to visit again, the installation will be open during the show. Drawing on the makeshift dwellings, named Hoovervilles, that appeared across America during the 1930’s Depression, A Shelter for Wonder is constructed with wood gathered up from the streets and skips of Lewes. A space within a space, it contains a tiny wunderkammer celebrating the presence of wonder in the everyday. For the show Gathering Up Inspired by the shelter’s themes, we are creating a new piece for the front space, comprising 80 gift envelopes to offer visitors.
